Storytrail Foundation presents
Songs & Stories of Peace Heroes
“Many of the most important stories in the world are the ones that almost disappear.”
Jerry Leggett
What Is Hope Beyond Borders?
Across the deserts and borderlands of the Southwest, lines on maps often carry powerful stories.
Some are stories of separation. Others are stories of courage, friendship, and shared humanity.
Singer-songwriter Jerry Leggett brings concerts and conversations that explore a simple truth:
Hope grows when people listen across the lines that divide them.
Through original songs, humor, and storytelling, Jerry creates evenings where audiences rediscover the deeper connections that hold communities together.
At the heart of the program is a belief that has guided Jerry’s life since his teenage years:
Many of the most important stories in our world are the ones that almost disappear.
The Hope Beyond Borders concerts help bring those stories into the light by honoring Peace Heroes—everyday people whose courage, compassion, and commitment to justice help make their communities more peaceful and more humane.
Each concert invites audiences not only to listen to these stories, but also to recognize the Peace Heroes living among them—and perhaps even within themselves.
Where will Hope find you?
IF you are in the vicinity of the jagged lines, we’d love to work with you to host a stop in 2026-2027.

Tour Theme Song
By Jerry Douglas Leggett, ©2026, All rights reserved
First Verse
When the noise of the world gets louder
And the lines feel carved in stone,
When the headlines trade in anger
And you’re not sure where you belong,
And you’re not sure where you belong.
There’s a quieter invitation
Not shouted, but understood:
Hope begins in the simple choice,
To treat your neighbor fair,
To treat your neighbor fair.
Refrain
Hope beyond borders,
Crossing each line,
Built out of courage
One story at a time.
Hope beyond borders,
Open the door —
Friendship is stronger
Than fear ever was before.
I said, Hope, find your hope,
Live your hope,
Be the hope.
Hope, hope, hope, hope!
Second Verse
Much to learn in the borderlands,
When we listen more than speak,
When we sit down at the tables
Where two lived stories meet.
Where two lived stories meet.
We find that hope is not a slogan,
Not a banner you wave from afar,
It’s friendship built between lines,
Seeing the whole human heart,
Seeing the whole human heart.
Refrain
Hope beyond borders,
Rising like dawn,
Not perfect — but present,
And stubbornly strong
Hope beyond borders
Right where you stand —
Every small act of dignity
Helps heal this sacred land.
Hope that’s stronger than fear
Not blind to the struggle.
Not numb to the scars.
I said, find your hope,
Live your hope,
Be the hope
You wish to see
Find your hope,
Live your hope,
Be the hope.
Ending
Be the hope you wish to see.
