“Together We” Community Choir

Sing with us on Sept. 12 & 20

in Green Valley, AZ & Sioux Falls, SD

1. Start Here

The Together We Community Choir welcomes individual singers and members of existing choirs. Singers should be able to read music, and some previous choir experience is helpful, as we will be preparing for a public musical performance. No audition is required—just a commitment to learn the music, attend rehearsals, and contribute to the ensemble.

The choir will perform “Together We,” and “Heart to Heart” both original songs by Jerry Leggett (& Friends). Sheet music, lyrics, recordings, and voice-part practice tracks will be provided.

Singers should plan to attend the scheduled rehearsals, especially the final combined rehearsal and event-day warm-up.

There is no cost to participate, and registered choir members do not need to purchase an event ticket.

Every voice is welcome. Come as you are, learn at your own pace, and help us sing our way back to each other.

2. Learn the Music

“Together We”

“Together We” is an uplifting anthem of belonging that reminds us that, when we join our voices and our lives, there is enough—and together, we are stronger.

Written by singer-songwriter Jerry Leggett and Patsy Ferrell, arranged for SATB choir and piano by Steve Aho, the song was created as an invitation to move from I to we—to recognize our shared humanity, widen the circle of belonging, and discover what becomes possible when we sing and stand together.

“Hope Beyond Borders”

Hope Beyond Borders is a choral anthem of hope, belonging, and welcome—an invitation to move beyond the lines that divide us and discover what becomes possible when we listen to one another, honor each other’s stories, and choose courage over fear.

Written by Jerry Leggett and arranged for SATB choir and piano by Steve Aho, the song reminds us that hope is not simply something we wait for. It is something we create together—one story, one friendship, one act of dignity at a time.
